THE ARTIST

My work has been an exploration of the physical and emotional through fibrous materials. This has been a process of experimentation to achieve and work towards a language with in my practice. Language being communication and understanding from the object to viewer about the subject matter. This is a context which has been brought about through my own struggles with mental illness and eating disorders. The art itself is an exploration through fabric, wool, silkscreen, and monograming techniques meant to destroy, cover, or allow for some form of obliteration; this then causes the work to become objects.
